Hall Element

AKM (Asahi) Hall Element Magnetic Sensors enable isolated non-contact measurement of linear and angle position, and of electric current. For mechanical position measurement the AKM Magnetic Sensors are used in combination with small permanent magnets to provide very high reliability and long life. By enabling the sensor to be sealed and isolated from the moving component the effects of contamination and friction are reduced. Electric currents produce a magnetic field with magnitude proportional to the electric current. Measurement of the magnetic field using AKM Magnetic Sensors enables the implementation of accurate electric current measurement with high voltage isolation, lower power loss and high signal to noise ratio compared to using current sense resistors. AKM Hall Element Magnetic Sensors feature high sensitivity and stability and are offered in a wide range of package types to meet different application requirements.

AN 180KIT

Design Kit for Thin, High Field Magnetic Sensor - AN_180KIT

The AN_180KIT is a reference for how to utilize the AKM HG-106C-2U Hall element to provide a magnetic field sensor with thickness of <0.65mm (0.026") and excellent linearity for transverse magnetic fields up to +/-1T and frequencies from dc to over 20kHz. This Kit can be used for evaluating the HG-106C-2U to measure or control the magnetic field in assemblies with small magnetic gaps such as loud speakers, magnetic actuators, inductors, motors, generators, inductors and current sensors.
